This is me this morning before work taking a webcam photo of our first package of adoption paperwork. Yes, we FINALLY mailed paperwork and a BIG ol' check off to our agency this morning. Whew! It feels good to have this leg of the journey behind us.
It's been an awesome day! I have more good things to share later about that.
What's next you ask?
We wait for a call from our case worker. Then, our agency will send us an adoption planner that will have original copies of all this paperwork + all the paperwork required for the next phase: the Dossier.
What in the world is a Dossier you ask? (pronounced doss-eee-ay)
It's just a fancy name for an even bigger bunch of official, legal, government paperwork that we will fill out and send in along with more $$. We will have six months to complete the Dossier and raise/save the needed amount of money for the next payment.
