We're excited to be raffling off a brand-new Kindle Touch!  All proceeds will go toward funding our upcoming mission trip to South Sudan in June.  So here's how the raffle will work:

• The raffle begins TODAY Saturday, January 14th and ends Saturday, February 11th at 11 p.m.
• The raffle will be held entirely online
• To purchase tickets, visit our blog and click the DONATE button.  Every $5 donated will buy one virtual ticket.  So, a donation of $10 equals 2 tickets and so on...
• On February 11th at 11 p.m., a name will be randomly chosen and the winner will be announced!  We will take care of delivering the new Kindle to the winner.

A little bit about this gadget:

We received a Kindle Touch for Christmas this year and have really been enjoying it.  It is super easy to set up and use for personal "fun" reading and also reading PDF documents or textbooks.  We actually plan on using ours to read some of our college textbooks this semester (and save a little money on those book fees)!  Text can be enlarged, you can change font styles, highlight important sections, and make notes.  The screen is not back-lit, so it does not strain your eyes as does a regular computer screen.  It literally reads just like paper.  The Kindle Touch sells in stores for $100.  Most of the books I have already purchased for it have been newly-released books, and they have all been under $10.  Most older books I've seen are less than $5!

The drawing will be held riiight before Valentines Day, so if you're special someone loves to read, this Kindle Touch could be a perfect gift.  

There will only be one winner, but even if you do not win, you will be supporting our mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus in South Sudan.  Keep checking back throughout the spring for information on our other fundraisers.
